The Plant Vogtle Units 3&4 project, located in Waynesboro, Georgia, roughly 20 miles south of Augusta, is being constructed under the terms and conditions of the Nuclear Power Construction Labor Agreement (NPCLA).
The two new units represent a $16 billion capital investment in Georgia. At its peak, the project will create approximately 6,000 union craft construction worker jobs prior to commencing operation in 2021 (Unit 3) and 2022 (Unit 4).
Vogtle Units 3&4 will be the first advanced Gen III+ units built in the United States and are currently the only new nuclear units being constructed in the country.
Plant Vogtle is jointly owned by Georgia Power, Oglethorpe Power, MEAG Power, and the City of Dalton Utilities.
